In this guide we will explain how to buy DigiByte (DGB) in 4 simple steps. By following the steps you will soon be the owner of DigiByte. We are going to accomplish this by buying Ether and exchanging them for DigiByte (DGB). We are using Ethereum because of the faster transaction times and cheaper transaction costs.
Step 1: Sign up on the exchange
Stap 2: Get your Ethereum wallet address
After you are signed up and logged in on Kucoin you can navigate to Assets in the navigation bar. On the Overview you can search for Ethereum and click on Deposit. If you have not set up Google authenticator on your account yet, that has to be taken care of first before you can generate a deposit address. After setting up Google Authenticator with Kucoin you can go to the overview and search for Ethereum again. Click on Deposit (make sure you go to Ethereum and not Ethereum Classic), from this page you can copy the Ethereum deposit address which you will need in the next step.
Step 3: Buying Ether and sending them to your Kucoin wallet
Now you can buy the Ether and send them to your Kucoin wallet. We recommend the three websites below. If you already own Ether that you want to use then you can skip this step and send them to the address you have just copied from Kucoin.
If you want to buy Ether using a creditcard or bank transfer and also want to store some Ether in their online wallet Coinbase is a good option. On Coinbase you can also buy Bitcoin (BTC), BitcoinCash (BCH) and LiteCoin (LTC) which you can store online in your Coinbase wallet.
If you want to buy Ether using European payment methods like iDEAL, Bancontact / Mistercash, Giropay, Mybank, SEPA and Sofort and send them directly to your Ethereum wallet address, then AnyCoinDirect is a good option. On AnyCoinDirect you can also buy a lot of other cryptocurrencies, for example Bitcoin (BTC), Monero (XMR), Stratis (STRAT), NEO (NEO), LiteCoin (LTC), Dash (DASH) and Zcash (ZEC).
When using one of these websites make sure you copy the correct Ethereum wallet address from your Kucoin account so that your Ether will arrive in the correct wallet.
Step 4: Converting your Ether into DigiByte (DGB)
Now that you have received the Ether in your Kucoin account (this could take a short while), you can exchange them for DigiByte (DGB). When you are logged in to your Kucoin account you can navigate to Markets by clicking on Markets in the navigation bar. Next you can click on ETH and search for DGB with the search bar on the right side of the screen and click on DGB/ETH. Now you have to log in with your Google Authenticator on the bottom right on the screen. Now you are ready to place your buy order in the Buy DGB section on the bottom right of the screen. You can fill in the price and amount that you want to buy in the fields and click on Buy to place the order. As soon as the order is filled you will own your DigiByte (DGB), Congratulations!
